Admissions Consultation 2019-20

Dear Parents

We have been instructed by the Diocese to take on the Diocesan Admissions Policy from 2019.  The Consultation on this policy closes on 5th December 2017.  The policy and the supplementary information form can be found below.  Please let the office have any comments you wish to make.

From 24th July 2017 St Mary's will no longer have a Nursery provision.

How to apply for a place in Reception class for your child.

 

All information about finding the right school for your child can be found on the Suffolk County Council website - the link is below.

 

If you wish to apply for a Reception class place  at our school for September 2017 there are three steps:

Step 1:  Read the schools' admissions policy.
This document contains key dates and an explanation of the oversubscription criteria.
Step 2:  Complete an on-line application form.  This can be found on the Suffolk County Council website - click here and follow the links.  You can also download the form and checklist below. The Local Authority manage our admissions process for us.  Your applications will need to be made by the recommended dates.
Step 3:  Complete a Supplementary Information Form (SIF)
Do not send this to the Local Authority.  Return this to the school when it is completed along with a copy of the child's baptismal certificate.

Closing date for all application forms and supplementary information forms is 15th January 2018.

A Supplementary Information form (SIF) is also required. This is on the SCC website or can be found on the link above (under Step 3).
