A year of sporting success for St Mary's

A hugely successful year for sport for St Mary's.  Not only in the success we have had so far with the competitions we have won but also for the amount of children who have participated in these events and also school clubs. It is wonderful to see just how many children are engaged with school sports clubs throughout the week, it could be a record high!

Below is a record of all sporting competitions we have competed in so far this year. It includes Friendly Festivals in for Dodge-ball, Handball & Tag Rugby. Throughout the year Year 4 to 6 have contributed towards multiple successes in School Games competitions and IPSSA leagues and tournaments. Whilst Year 1 2 and 3 have been given opportunities in friendly games against other schools and also some School Games Friendly Festivals. A big highlight for the year was to be county champions in Netball, Cricket and Basketball and attending the regional finals in Colchester in cricket on Thursday 18th July at Castle Park. Sadly the regional cricket finals were cancelled on the day due to bad weather.   A great year!
