PTA News

With regret St. Mary's PTA will be disbanded at the end of May. Sadly there are no longer enough volunteers to run events safely which has put increasing demands on the few active PTA members.

Over the past three years the PTA has raised over £18,000 of valuable funds for the children and the school. Amongst other things, these funds have paid for:

  1. The Hive
  2. Resident Artist for Art Week
  3. KS1 Building Blocks
  4. Coaches for trips
  5. Refurbishment of the school library
  6. Apple TVs
  7. Hand percussion instruments
  8. Chrome Books Charging Trolley
  9. RE Banner – Y Bell design and painting
  10. Year 6 Keepsake Books

Each year school budgets are squeezed by Government. The PTA fundraising and volunteering ensured that your children benefited from opportunities of enrichment, vital school improvements and additional resources and equipment. These budgetary restrictions are not expected to ease in the future.

There will be a chocolate and bottle tombola to raffle off the remaining PTA stock after school pick up on Wednesday 23rd May and any funds raised will go towards *Art Week*

There will not be a Summer Fair this year.

Many thanks to those who have volunteered their time to support the PTA and to those who have donated vital funds over the years. Your contributions have been greatly appreciated. The PTA
