On Thursday 2nd March, Year 5 had the chance to visit Chelmsford Recycling Centre. It was an action- packed day; enjoyed by children and adults alike. We got the chance to see how our water gets recycled and learnt a lot about being water wise. Many of the children can be quoted as saying that it is one of the most interesting trips they have been on. It isn't every day that you get to make ‘sewage soup’ (from apple juice and Weetabix – which of course wasn’t ingested!) and see where things that go down our toilets and drains go! We also learnt a lot about micro-organisms and how they can be both good and bad. Thank you to the adults that accompanied us on our trip. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
