Year 6 visit Ipswich Museum

Year 6 had a wonderful afternoon at Ipswich Museum this week.  To finish off the WW2 topic, we took part in a series of workshops to investigate the Home Front in Ipswich during the conflict.  We build an Anderson shelter, we used typewriters and telephones from the period and we sent messages in Morse code.  In another gallery in the Museum we investigated displays about ARP wardens, home life and we even had a go at making a rag rug.  It was fantastic that the Museum opened especially for us and we learned a great deal about our local history
