General information:

P.E will be on Friday mornings starting on the 13th September. Your child can come to school in their P.E kit and stay in it all day. Please make sure everything is labelled and earrings are removed.

Learning can be very messy, please ensure that your children have a change of clothes in school.

We will go outside in most weathers so please provide a pair of wellies for your child.

The children are encouraged to drink throughout the day so please provide a water bottle labelled with their name.

Here at St Mary's we offer the children a practical play based learning environment, providing children with adult focused and child initiated activities both inside and outside. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.

Literacy links

  • Espresso Phonics Great videos that help with the pronunciation of the sounds. Good activities to help with segmenting and blending skills. To use this site you will need the password which can be found on the handout from the phonics workshop.

  • Phonics Play Free games to help with the teaching and learning of phonics. Great games to play to develop children's segmenting and blending skills.

  • Alphablocks Play along with the Alphablocks and have fun with the letters of the alphabet.

  • Numberblocks Great videos to help children gain understanding of number and order. The children really enjoy watching these in class and we have been using the numberblocks to help us with our learning.
